Fact Families, Word Sorts and a Big Sale!!!!

Thanksgiving is over and I have so many things to be thankful for.  My daughter Emily made it home safely from school, I spent a lot of the day with my parents, and I had five days off from school AND my second job. YAY!!! That's just a few of the blessings. It is so nice to have both Nathan and Emily home. The house fills with laughter, craziness and SO MUCH FOOD! I don't think I need to eat until Christmas. Lol

Well, today was a little bit of a reality check for me.  Emily had to head back to school and I needed to get busy with laundry and lesson plans. This weeks starts the crazy work schedule that Christmas brings. My second job really gears up over the next three weeks as our peak season which means lots of extra hours. Since December is such a busy month for me I decided to take today to plan out the whole month of lesson plans.

We just started fact families before Thanksgiving so that is what we will be doing in math. I created several games to help us.

Before Thanksgiving break, I taught the suffix ed. I made a poster to help us review the three sounds of ed. I also did word sorts and posters for the sounds, wa, war, tw, sw and aw. Now we have lots of word sorts, games and posters to get us through the month of December.
